things that make people stall and not convert
Many websites have twice as many visitors as they do actual people buying or signing up.
Without getting any more traffic, or increasing your popularity or even changing your offer or product.
There are steps you can take to significantly increase your sales and conversions.
Are you making it too hard for people checkout, signup, or do anything on your site?
Only one thing per site – GOAL!!!!
You want people to get to your goal.
You want the path to the goal to be as short as possible.
Sales increase
Subscriber increase even more
(actual examples:
WPEngine mentioned last week forces people
to pay $300 to someone else before you sign
up with them!
vs Godaddy – Free Migrations! )
“Don’t make it hard for people to pay you”
Steps
-give your site a fresh look, what is the natural path the customer wants to follow
– Look at your site as if you have 3 seconds to decide to pick something, what do you pick?
-Can you pick anything, are there too many choices, too many goals?
– Are there too many steps to get to the goal or make a sale?
—Google Analytics goal setups come in here, if
there are too many steps to the goal that is
also a problem
– Ask a friend, ask a spouse, do they think it could be easier?
