1 – Advanced WordPress Filtering with Search and Filter Pro
Just wanted to share a quick WordPress plugin (paid) system that we came across while doing some research on a client project. We didn’t use this tool this time as the client went a different direction.
Still, this advanced WordPress Filtering plugin ‘Search & Filter Pro‘ did catch our attention and I suspect we’ll use it in the near future on other projects.
It purports to work with any theme, plus WooCommerce, easy digital downloads and ACF.
2 – Free Search and Filtering plugin in repository
Elegant Themes also covered a more basic search and filtering plugin. The article is Divi theme focused and references a free search and filter plugin in the repository.
3 – FacetWP Search and Filtering
Several years back, we worked on a different project that involved advanced custom fields and custom post types. Filtering for that project was managed with FacetWP. It worked well enough at the time. The scope for that project was limited and frankly at the time, it seemed like we were under utilizing the plugin. FacetWP has a higher price point and runs on a subscription plan. ($99 per year for 1-3 sites, $249 per year for 20 sites)
