Putting my money where my mouth is & automating Marketing via CoSchedule
My free trial account with the CoSchedule system has expired and today’s the day I start paying for the service with money out of my own pocket. I do believe that this service is going to be useful for me and it has definitely broken me out of my social media shell.
I have learned how to create a social media calendar, and follow through with it. Years ago when I started running on a regular basis, I used a GPS app on my cell phone. You’ve probably heard of at least one of these apps, the one I used was Runmeter.
I also logged all of my miles on the Dailymile website. As my total mileage added up, I was surprised to learn how much this motivated me to keep on running more.
I have experienced a similar benefit from CoSchedule.
I can now see the impact and social media of my publishing schedule and my social media schedule. I can see where there are gaps and fix it. I can identify days when my coverage is too low and I can identify days when my coverage is way too high. I can balance these out!
All of this motivates me to write more and to get out in front of my social media efforts and do better.
I have a whole lot more to do to schedule out social media messages for my evergreen content. I also have a whole lot more to learn about creating better messages on social media in the different social media mediums.
Phew!!! That sure sounded like a lot of jargon!
π
I take this seriously, because my business depends on it.
I can still step back and laugh at some of the silly words that creep into the jargon.

Completely Missed the Headline Optimizer during the free trial of CoSchedule
When I went to Pay and convert my free trial to a real account, it showed me the full-service things I would lose. I ultimately went with a solo plan for $39 per month. It would have only cost $30 if I had prepaid a year in advance ($360). As I mentioned in my big article on CoSchedule I saved 50% on the $39 so the end price was $19.50 per month. Check out the article if you would like to do the same.
Originally, I toyed with going with the cheapest plan. So I deleted my Pinterest and Facebook (personal) account. Then I changed my mind and had to add them back. π Don’t be like me. Go with what you have been using!
